pci serial card drivers

Chipset is manufactured by Moschip Semiconductors from what I deduce, their website points to the Asix site for drivers, http://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=pItemdetail&PItemID=127;74;111&PLine=74 scroll towards the bottom of the page.

Try that and see how it goes, if no luck report back. A clear photo showing the printed info on the main ic would help.

thanks ponder,

this is the closet I could get to it on the net.

our previous IT just bought it to help us over a rough time this was actually in our back pc. was not intended to be used but our servers sdd crashed yesterday!

Would a USB to Serial converter not work?

we've been looking for something like that for sometime now? as one of production machines still uses serial coms! and as we upgrade our pc's and networks it gets more more difficult to communicate with this machine!

please advice on where or how to get something like that?

thanks

I've got a Sunix 4037T PCI (dual 9pin serial port) in the cupboard for you if you're in a jam (freebie - you organise shipping) but you should be able to find one in Cape Town.

Have you guys ever considered carrying those port servers?

Never had an enquiry for something like that in 14 years with Esquire or 12 years in our previous company don’t even know what they would be used for :D

The standard serial cards are used for Telecom companies that use them for telephone management systems and Point of sale for Cash Drawers and slip printers

Common back in the day when dumb RS232 terminals were the de-facto standard for data capture, Perle & Stallion were amongst the brands available in SA.
