PCMCIA Modems (Antennas)

Hello all,

I heard from a reliable source today that PCMCIA cards do not allow you to attach an external antenna to them. Can anyone else in the know (or maybe someone with one of these cards) confirm this please?

I saw a couple of these cards when I took a visit to the offices of Fastcomm, and by the looks of it, no it does not.

It'd be interesting to find out if they have a more powerful antenna or db gain than the normal modem
 
The PCMCIA do not support an external antenna, with the normal modem and an antenna you can boost your singal by up 50%

I respect that you deal in the things, but I spoke to one of the people on the Sentech tech support desk, and they said that the PCMCIA modems "definately do" have the plug thing for an antenna.

Does anyone actually HAVE a pcmcia modem that they can verify this (not just by glancing, check the manual).

Personally I really don't see them NOT putting one on.
