PCMCIA versus USB Modem

Surely the PCMCIA modem should cost quite a bit more than its USB counterpart, like most PCMCIA devices.

Thus wouldn't it make sense for either the PCMCIA user to pay more for Sentech, or for those that take the USB option to pay less every month ?

I was just wondering about this.

In most cases it is more expensive but given that the modem already costs R4000 (which is very expensive even for a PCMCIA device) the manufacturer probably absorbed the cost of the PCMCIA packaging in order to sell units.
