@eehellfire. Nope, as long as the Javelin viewer is open, [PrtScrn] is disabled. Regardless if the window has focus or not. Again, I have tested this. I am sure that as with everything there is probably some or other hack, this system is actually pretty good & will keep all but the most determined @ bay.

@Fudzy. One doesn't login each time to authorise the document. If the document has been protected, then when the document is opened the first time on any workstation, the user is prompted for an authorisation code. The document then remains authorised on that workstation until the document expiry date has been reached. So, when setting the protection parameters, one of the options is to set how many times it can be opened. If say for instance the limit has been set to five, as soon as workstation six tries to open it, it won't work & the user is prompted to contact the document author.

They explain the process in the online help (http://www.drumlinsecurity.co.uk/webhelp/). Basically, each new authorise sets the server count to +1 until the limit has been reached.

One of the parameters which can be set when protecting the document is to make sure that the user is online i.e. No offline authorisation allowed.

I recommend downloading & trying it. Spent most of last week playing with it & it will do what we need it to do.

While the system is free, they seem to make their money off selling the authorisation codes, which are really cheap, $50 for 100 codes. Well worth it.
