Hi Ladies and Gents,

I need some form of software whereby i can take a PDF and make text boxes on it.

I am currently using FoxIt Reader, which is great, and i have found a tool on there that allows me to type on the PDF, or insert text anywhere on that PDF.

My boss wants a feature where i can insert text boxes so that the end user can ONLY type in the place where the text box was put, and NOWHERE else. EG; Name: [textbox] Surname: [Textbox]

Does anyone know if FoxIt Reader can do this, or what free software i can download to enable this or get this feature?

Any help will be very much appreciated!

I use Adobe reader X, .... it allows me to highlight text and place sticky notes...
absolutely free.

Lol, well look at that! Didn't know Adobe reader could do that. Since what version could this be done? I left Adobe at v.8 for FoxIt Reader which i am very happy with thus far...

Since version 10 (X)... not sure if the sticky notes, which in essence is a speech bubble(BOX) is what you meant by text boxes.

Are you making the PDF files from scratch? Or do you want to insert the text boxes into existing PDF files?

Adobe Acrobat X can do that, but it is NOT free!
Adobe Reader X cannot do that.

No, the collaborate and comment feature in Adobe Reader X is not the same thing as the insert Text boxes feature in the full version of Adobe Acrobat X.
