Peanut brittle

So I wanna make some peanut brittle. But the recipe says to pour it on a greased marble slab and then break apart when cool.

I do not have a marble slab. Would it worked the same if I just poured it onto a greased baking sheet?

I saw a cooking show where the guy did it on a marble kicthen table. Did some spray and cook on the table and then just poured it on there Let us know if you did it on a baking sheet if it worked
