I reset an Telkom Aztech 700WR to factory settings after it was compromised. Paging through the settings I find this peculiar entry on the Network/Routing page:

Aztech.PNG

I compared it to the default settings in the manual but it looks totally different. The entries can also not be removed. Googling the 41.170.75.65 IP address shows that it belongs to Neotel. The ADSL line is with Telkom and they are using an Axxess uncapped package. Any idea what this is all about?

that is your adsl IP address on your WAN port that axxess is reselling from neotel.

well when you are connected to the internet, and you go to something like, "show my ip", or "what is my IP", is that result the same as the IP address in your routing table?

your public IP must be in that routing table, it tells the device to NAT the traffic from that IP to your LAN.

if a routing device further down is showing in the routing table the ISP setup stuff rather.... silly.

does that ip show up if you tracert to a local or international ip?
