Greeting Folks,

I've come across a peculiar problem with a friends laptop that is puzzling me.
The device struggles to connect to the WiFi network, giving the error message of "Limited Access" and plugging a LAN cable in doesn't even register a network connection.

This is when connecting to any network. Fascinating thing is that the device registers on the network, but doesn't 'allow' traffic to pass through.

I've checked the antivirus and even gone as far as turning off windows firewall. Tried various Microsoft FixIts, run a cmd for the various netsh prompts. I've run an anti-malware on the laptop and am now getting to a stage where I'm not sure what more to do.

The laptop connected earlier last month and worked for a few days, then suddenly stopped - as far as I can tell, no major installs or changes were made between the laptop working and not.

Any/all help would be immensely appreciated!
(Win 7 Home, 64 bit)

Thanks in advance!

How does the adapter properties setup look like? Protocols ticked, ect?
Adapter priority? Proxy? any VPN setup?

Visited any porn sites before this happened?:erm:

If you're getting an IP from DHCP and DNS is set to auto try to renew your IP
CMD : ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
and just for the off chance do ipconfig /flushdns also
