Performance/Rand Graphics

I'm looking for the best graphics thats worth spending money on. As far as I could reserch on, the Geforce FX 7900 GT fits this description best. The question really is: is there a beter ATI card available that can offer me beter value for performance?:confused:
 
Nope, the 7900GT is tops for value high end card.
Sadly the only ATI's that can compare with it are a grand or two more.
I got a 7900GT the otherday, it kicks ass. I did a lot of research into which card I should get, my first choice would of been ATI but there is no way I am paying so much. I have seen 512MB 7900GT's for R2999.
Go get one...
 
Didnt ATI launch an X1900GT a day or two ago that's supposed to compete directly with the 7900GT?

EDIT: Apparently it's not launched yet, but the guys hat HKEPC got their hands on one to test.

THE GUYS at HKEPC test the X1900GT - or GTO - and the GF7900GT. Apart from the 900GT moniker that they both share, these cards are aiming for the same mid range market, the juiciest one. After having elaborated on the technological aspects, we see that the card is a 256MB version with a core running at 650MHz and memory at 1.44GHz - both overclocked from ATI overdrive panel. The card is definitely hot but there performance is not as hot as one would expect. Even if the 7900GT is generally slower, it matches the 1900GT. We will wait to see how it translates in terms of pricing and availability.

Thanks! I got my 7900GT 3 days ago! It really does KICK ASS!!!!:D Mixed with my new AMD 3800+ x2 64bit, I've had no problems running ANY game with full graphics...:eek:

Well if you look at my site now... i have not paid for it because the co. that hosts it are CR/\P and they dont want to sign some form that allows me to go to another Host.... till that happens im not hosting anything else with them.

Legend 7900GT 512MB R2899 .00 incl btw. Just PM because the accounts dotcomputers.co.za will be offline for a few days, while i sort out the host.
 
Higher clock speeds.
512megs vs. 256megs.
