Hi, hoping someone can assist with problem I have below...
Been using Telkom ADSL (2Mbps) ever since they upgraded everyone to it. Only issues were major Telkom ADSL service issues, or ISP connect issues. Had no issues with getting decent upload rates (~500Kbps+). 3 months ago had a physical issue with the line... line was noisy and I had trouble maintaining ADSL sync. When syncing did happen the rates were all over the place except close to the ADSL profile. The physical line was eventually replaced and downstream rates have returned to normal.
Unfortunately upstream rate has dropped permanently. It can never sync higher than ~250Kbps. It wouldn't be too much of an problem, except now sending emails of 1MB+ is giving errors. Small emails successfully get sent but all emails that are in the range of MB's are producing errors.
SNR and Attenuation values seem to be within a good range. Will a port reset fix the issue?
