How do I permanently disable capslock without driving a fsking nail thru the keyboard.

The people here just cannot understand the correct use of it. Everything ends up typed in caps... ITS JUST EASIER TO READ, they say, well lets see how dedicated they are to their cause when they have to hold down shift the whole damn time...

hAVE aNYONE sEEN mY cAPSLOCK kEY?

But seriously - on some laptops the location of that capslock key is too close for comfort to the 'A' key - and I then enable caps lock by mistake (when logging in, for example).

And you don't use it at all - it just is an unwanted feature.

How is it easier to read ?

Would be easier to run a script that converts any words that are entirely in uppercase to lowecase. Email obviously.

I created a small assembly language program which converted from lower to uppercase - but that was ages ago :D

Very easy to do though.

how about we just get rid of capital letters altogether please. the origin of the dual-cased alphabet was an imbecile move in the first place.

yea, thats it.. press it ten more times... it might work... :D

LOL, apparently it doesn't work if you hit it either :D
(such dedication)

GASP! Its broken!?! What do you mean broken!?! The Keyboard?
How is it broken... The capslock? Oh.

Any other keys broken? No? Ah well, then its not SOO bad, is it?
Just use shift.

I disabled mine the other day.

Remove the caps lock key

Put a drop of iron glue where it will do the most damage

Replace the key and wait for the glue to dry

Fixed  :D

(disclaimer : I'm not to be held responsible if you stuff up your own keyboard, tough).

And obviously not to be done on company laptops or stuff still under warranty...
