Permissions denied, even though I am administrator

Hey guys.

So I have been having issues trying to install a vst (for electronic music). It installs, but won't launch. The error report states that permission is denied to the Library folder.

However, the read/write permissions are on for all users on my user library, but the hard drives isnt.

If I try and change the hard drives library folder permissions, it states that I am not allowed to due to the following:
The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission.

Weird thing, is that I now all of a sudden have an administrator login screen next to my username. This was never there before.

I am a bit lost with MacOS, as I came from windows a while back and have never had to mess with files. But since trying to launch this program, I am a but messed up.

terminating with uncaught exception of type boost::filesystem::filesystem_error: boost::filesystem::create_directory: Permission denied: "/Library/Arturia/Mini V3/tmp"

(One at root directory level plus one in every user directory)
Make sure your looking at the right one,

Also is that Arturia plugin legit ? Sounds like it’s a dodgy copy

Have you disabled Gatekeeper or whatever it’s called that allows you to install third party apps?

I would never fiddle with the permissions at those folder levels if I were you and would highly recommend you run a permissions check and repair across the entire drive with Disk Utility.

Yup, purchased a Keylab and got the demo for free as well as the full version on Analogue Lab 4 with the mini controller.

I can access my user library and change permissions there, but the root directory, I cant.

And this is a legit installation?

Then I advise you reach out to the developer for some guidance.

Does the authentication window to enter your password come up at all?

What happens if you login as sys adm and change permissions?

Boot into safe mode and test.

Got it sorted from the devs. It was an issue with their installer
