Maybe you should look up the definition of irony and try and see where it fits in here.
The only way your "observation" can ever make sense is if everyone you've seen with a personalised plate always acts like a d00s and if everyone you've ever seen without a personalised plate never acts like a d00s.
Did someone with a personalised plate cut you off in traffic or something? And now you harbour all this hate towards all PNP drivers? Grow up.

And in the greater scheme of things, how does it help to come into a thread where the poor OP wanted information and start spreading your hate around?

It makes it easier for people to notice your car if it is involved in an altercation or parks illegally somewhere. A Metro cop magnet? Maybe anonymity is better on the roads.

Because people will think he is a d00s... and they will treat him like one. He may not be one but its the assumption that people make.

I have friends that have them and they are cool people... every one rolls their eyes as soon as they see their cars though !

No need for custom plates on a VW - no one even notices the car (too many of them), let alone the plates.
 
I don't mind PNP. Some are actually quite funny. However, I think those stickers where that little cartoon character pisses that the people put on their car is really lame. In fact, any bumper sticker / window sticker with a lame saying is kak.
 
I don't mind custom plates as long as they are honest and tell me something about the driver, like : P035 GP, L0553R WP, VW H8TR - NP and so on.
