Petrol price drop incoming

Uh? Wait?

Looks at thread title, then reads this:

The retail price of all grades of petrol will drop by five cents a litre next week, the energy department said on Friday.

The price of diesel with 0.05 percent sulphur content would increase by 13.82 cents per litre wholesale, while diesel with 0.005 percent sulphur would increase by 14.82 cents per litre wholesale.

How is petrol decreases while diesel, LPG, and paraffin increases? :confused:
 
5 whole cents. That's great news! Now I can a considerable amount of money....NOT. Jesus. :mad:
 
This tells me that someone is fiddling with the equation and that the price changes have fek all to do with the exchange rate and the oil price anymore.

I currently pay less for my diesel than petrol at my local station. That said, and unlike petrol, the price of diesel is set by the station and not the state.
 
Seems every time we get a few cents breather it's in preparation for a massive increase the next time. Bracing......
