You do realise that you've just described the rand right? What has been the history of the petrol price the last year?
Drops for a while, increases by more than the drop. A while later it decreases a bit then increases again by more than the previous decrease.
True or untrue?
And if it drops more? Want to put money on your prediction?

That's like betting on a Donkey in a Horse race...
The price will increase again, it has been continually increasing for decades. Short relief is just that, short.
I'll answer your question, when you answer my 2.
I'm sure we all know he means it will go up January (the tomorrow, today being December).
Crude prices are slightly up, but unlikely to go up too much because the orange one has instructed his pet arabs to keep production where the price remains low.Nope, I'm not so sure. Either way, he's isn't wrong. The Crude oil price is at the lowest it's been in a while. The odds of it going even lower are slim to none. I'll much rather bet with him than with you![]()
Doubt food price will decrease though....
Are all the increases purely because of fluctuations in the value of the ZAR?You do realise that you've just described the rand right?

Yes, I understand that. And you are right. Your government can't do much about it BUT have you ever asked yourself why the diesel price drops once again by much less than the petrol price? This difference has nothing to do with the oil price! Both, diesel and petrol are refined from crude oil. Now this is where your government steps in and you are going to pay dearly for it. Watch the consumer price inflation figure in 6 to 10 months. #EnjoyTheRide #ANC #Election2019Besides the tax increases that happens once a year, and some small fuel pump attendant salary increases and such now and then, it's purely that and the oil price the rest of the time.
