pfsense error the requested URL could not be retrieved

Recently replaced my firewall with Pfsense. I get this a lot:

ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://somewebsite.co.za/

Connection to X.X.X.X failed.

The system returned: (51) Network is unreachable

Refreshing often loads the page, but some pages are stubborn.

Also getting this from Eset Nod32:

Modules update failed
Undocumented serious error (0x210a)

Any solution?

I disable Squid and then sites are reachable (and nod32 update works), but I need to do some filtering, so I need Squid...

Squid is probably not the best solution for filtering. What do you do for secure sites (which is most things on the internet these days)? You have a CA installed on all the connected devices?

I would just remove squid and use a DNS filtering solution instead, depending on your needs pfBlockerNG may be viable.

I use NXFilter (DNS Based) myself.
What I like about it, is that it also offers HTTPS DNS to either #CloudFlare or #GoogleDNS
Also recently started tinkering with #Wingate Proxy (Free for 10 users now)

I have been having trouble with my connection. So I have been unable to get anything working 100%...

Tried Cell C and Afrihost mobile... both seem to be having problems...

Will try again when one of them is working
