Phantom clutch problem!

Ok...just as i suspected...the springs on the pressure plate collapsed...so replace Everything...will hear this afternoon how much it costs...there go's my tyre money!

Yep...but original price was R3200 for everything, clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing etc the whole clutch kit!

he's lady's gona call me to tell me how much it is...with things like this I know its always a couple hundred more...

So STILL have not put the clutch back!!! Brilliant Alfa Stealers gave my man the wrong flippen PART...v6 clutch in stead of 2.0 TS clutch...lol

now the dude's frantic, I'm no adamr so i try to be as calm as possible, but he can hear by the amount of times i'm calling him I'm seriously up to here!!!

I've been without an Alfa for 2 weeks now...Gooood Lorrrrrrd

It's normal for a Alfa's clutch to slip past 4K rpm, my word, they are worse than I thought.

How the hell did the springs collapse on the pressure plate, you us the clutch pedal as a foot rest or is the clutch on that car just that badly designed?

I'd just go for a proper copper clutch kit if that is the quality of the OEM clutch.

The joys of owning an Alfa :rolleyes:

Last car I would drive, after that it's a VW :p

Clutch is sorted now...errrthing is NEW...feels soft like a MiTo's clutch...very light! I'd go as far as saying the car feels faser lol...but the VW fanboys will just have another campaign to get me deleted from the forum.

Its cool now, doesn't slip at 5k anymore lol...

R5916 later!!! Now I've gotta deal with the waranty people to atleast compensate for the hydrolic parts...joh!
