Hey guys.

Does anyone have any experience with these model IP phones? I'm having a issue with one and I cannot get to the bottom of it. Uncle google is of no help either. What happens is, when a call is made from it or received to it, at times, the opposite end cannot hear anything. For eg. If I make a call I can hear the other user but they cannot hear me. Tried changing the phone with a new one and even another working one but no luck. This problem does seem to occur very randomly. The very next call I make will work fine.

Cheers

More info is required.

do you have a PBX in place? Or does it connect directly to a sip server?

I'm almost sure is all down to specific ports that have to be opened.

Hi

One way voice is usually related to NAT firewall issue.

Make sure you have STUN on your phone enabled. This usually helps.

Ask your Voip provider for help. They should be able to easily see what is the issue from a SIP trace.

make sure the media ports (RTP) on the phone is what they system expects (on asterisks its UDP 10000-20000) you can make the range smaller on the system and the phones, you need 4 ports per device so if you have 4 phones you can set the system and the phones to 10000-10016
