Probably, if you ask for a Galaxy S3, you will get the upgraded version of the Xperia T. The one with the better features and latest updates. It will also be at a lower price point.

The S3 is over 6months old now, a huge ass brick, and made of cheap plastic, using an old quad core design, instead of the new krait cpus like the Xperia T.

Sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about.

The S3 is 7.2mm longer, 3.3mm wider and 0.75mm thinner with a 0.25" (roughly 5%) larger screen. How in the hell is that a "brick"? It has a quad core 1.4Ghz processor where the Sony has a 1.5Ghz dual core processor. As for the cheap plastic comment, you sound just like the fans of a fruity toy maker we all love so much.

The only thing the Sony has going for it is the camera. It might be newer tech in the Sony but at least the Samsung gets updates shortly after they get released.

Have a look for yourself

Don't you own an Xperia T? If so, then your opinion is bias.

Nope. Not at all. I do have a T, but when the time came I looked at a whole range of phones. Even the Lumia 920. I also have a colleague that has the S3. I did extensive research.

You can also check the benchmarks on gsmarena, the T beats the S3 in some of the benchmarks. As I said, the S3 may have a quad, but's an old quad.

As for the thinness, the T is curved. It's a phone that's just designed well. Feels much better in your hand compared to the S3.

Just go hold one in your hand. I made sure to get physically in touch of all the major phones before choosing the right one for me.

I don't think most of the S3 brigade have done the same.

Just because you said your opinion is not bias, it does not mean that it is not :p.
Galaxy S3 all the way! Only geeks look at benchmarks :D. Nothing beats the split screen function and the pop-up play videos!

You are free to choose whichever phone you prefer but benchmarks on a phone? Do you overclock it as well and does it have custom water cooling?

I dont really care about the benchmarks, I just included it for the sheep that think "S3 iz quad corez, it is the betterz".

Can't use quad as a selling feature when it gets beaten by a dual.

Bwhahahaha, You were the first one to even mention the CPU :p

Thought you mentioned CPU here:

It's what I took "upgraded" to mean.

So I got the Sony .. Paid R6200 so wasn't too bad! Thanks for all the replies haha I'm happier now with the Sony I must admit.

The phone came with two screen protectors and two nfc tag things. The camera quality is awesome just struggles in low light conditions with a bit of blur?
