About a week ago my ADSL started disconnecting me, phones the ISP they havent gotten back to us and telkom... well lets not go there. But ive noticed that when someone uses the phone its when our line drops us. It might just be coincedence but as soon as i pick the phone up we lost connection put the phone down and we got it back a few seconds later, then someone made a phone call bout 15min later and same thing. So im wondering if it has something to do with the phone line interferring with the adsl line.

Have you got filters on all the other devices (apart from the router/modem of course)? Phone, faxes, alarm system . . . all need to go through one.

as far as i know yes. Nothing should have changed. Buty ever since last week ive been struggling to stay online i just get disconnected for no known reason. Still waiting for Atlantic to get back to me

Same problem here.

Using TelkomSA (SAIX).

Changed all pots filters. SNR goes all ZUMA on me when phone rings...

Strange. Resyncs at 256, when I remove telephone syncs at 384/128.

House seems haunted.

Nope.

Tried 2 one cordless, other fairly new.

Every now and then, I see middle finger showing on the router...

Now it's gone.

Frustrating.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGH !!!
DOH!

Found the problem.

The modems power box has telephone jacks...

Figured out that they need to be used aswell...

Must be some sort of noise filter....

:o
