Same here, we had the WCDMA Telkom phone. As pointed out already, it's basically just a cellphone (takes a normal GSM sim card) disguised as a telephone. Reception here wasn't so reliable so we also returned it xD

You should have kept it... it now roams on the MTN network (at local fixed line rates)!!!

lmao, you know your country is ****ed up if you have to manually install your own phone line just to get internet. In most countries such a thread wouldn't even seem real to them.
