I don't know if this is the right forum to post, but here goes:

My phone line goes dead about after 10 seconds of talking, yet the adsl is still working. I've "escalated" the problem on Telskum's website, got a reference number, but nothing happens. What can I do?:mad:
 
You need to go to a Telkom DirectShop and talk to a manager personally. Come in everyday if you have to. If that doesn't work, email them and keep pushing the issue...

They will only do something if you annoy them enough it seems. =(

@Phone Line, have you tried buying a new SPLITTER? Sometimes those get f'd up and such issues can come up.

+1 ... Test by plugging your phone directly into the ADSL line (the modem jack). It could also be the phone itself particularly if it's a portable, test with a known good phone.
