Phone number formats

I hate it when people group the digits in their phone numbers, apparently to make it easier to remember, like 08 3332 77 44. Just give it to me in the proper damn format like 083 332 7744. Am I weird for finding that annoying? :wtf:

PS: I don't know whose number that is :erm:

Lol. I used to use the form 083 3327 744. And people on the other end would freak out and get lost. So i changed to the other form 083 332 7744 and amazingly they get it the first time round! People are weird.
 
But then telephone numbers were shorter and you did not have to dial the area code if you were making a local call :p

It's just easier mkay! :mad: :D

First 3 digits - network
Next 7 digits - as it would have been if it was a fixed line :)

I totally agree with you! Those people should be rounded up and put in camps.

To OP, it also bothers me if the numbers are not grouped 'correctly'
