problem with chinese brands, is most contain some form of malware. I wouldnt trust Xiaomi and the likes. Even oneplus is borderline.

Oneplus is the best decision I've made recently. Got the 6 about a year ago and still going strong. Survived a nasty fall a couple of months ago with no visible damage or performance issues. Also had no ads or malware issues.

Phones are expensive due to the capabilities and hardware stuffed into the small size.

However we see more and more brand coming into the market with high spec devices at reasonable price brackets
