Damn.. i'd forgotten about this.... will have to make a few stops on the way home I think...
I'm sure most cities have specially demarcated areas where it's permitted.Remember to include the ATM as a stop, as you will need money to pay the fine for the shooting of illegal fireworks.![]()
This is SA damnit...
We don't pay fines![]()

I know CPT does as does PE.No, Bwana. You must be mistaken this for the US.![]()

Dont be silly. With Diwali just a week ago and Guy Fawkes approaching, the fireworks in London have been going pretty much non stop. Pity I didn't get around to go shoot some
@bwana, I've tried both short and long shutter times. My best shot (and one of few keepers out of about 2000 shots that night) was at 1 second and f/8 with the 24-105L
If I have to think of ways to improve that shot I would go do 1/2 sec and f/5.6, and take it half a second laterI also tried with the nifty fifty wide open, with a much shorter shutter time, but I was disappointed.
BTW, do they do Guy Fawkes in the U.S.? I'll be there by the time it gets dark![]()
Hmm - maybe I'll stick with braaiing tonight, skip the fireworks where ever they may be - and go to the opening of the season instead....
these are from the opening of season here in PE a year or two back. settings used are ISO200, f/8, 10s and obviously a tripod![]()
For interest sake, how did you get the brake lights of the car on the street like that?
