Photography assistant salary / rate?

Anyone have any dealings or used an assistant for shoots in the past? Specifically for a wedding, have no idea what to pay per hour?

It's usually per event, and depends on where you are. Wedding second shooters get around R1500-R2500/wedding, assistants R700-R1500.

Sounds good for an assistant, the person will be assisting for 8 hours so probably on the higher end, thanks!
