More specifically : racks, servers, SANs, switches, etc. And maybe cabling inside racks. Stuff a cabling company does not do.

What would such a job be advertised as ?

I am curious to look into it.

There are various cabling companies doing infrastructure design and implementation. Depends on the project...

The cabling companies provide the Dell/HP racks and servers, install/mount the servers, Initialize and Carve the LUNs on the storage devices. Install the storage network with all its components ?

Companies like Dimension Data do all that complete with a SLA.

A cabling company does....cabling. Racks and servers are usually installed by the techies and systems admin of the company or the IT company doing the SLA. At least that is how we do it. A hand holding a crimper and a RJ45 plug should not be the same hand touching the R 80 000 server etc....
