Hi
I need a bit of advise. I'm going for surgery on my knee this week.
Now as afaik everything is organized in regards with the operation itself.
After doing research, I understand I will need a physiotherapist for rebuilding and strengthening of my leg and knee to recover, which apparently will take a couple of months.
My question is, am I responsible for organizing the physio or are they going to be
there automatically after the surgery? I'm a bit clueless and need to know if I should
start contacting physios or what.
Thanks

As far as I know you will have to find one or they will recommend a few to you. But why not ask them?

We know even less.

Just an update. So what happened in my instance is that the practice had their own inhouse physio that came and saw me after the surgery. She also recommended physios I could go see in my area after I returned home.

My mate recently went for an arm operation at Sunninghill and the hospital also provided their own physio, and he was also recommended physios in his area.

Alternatively, the major universities often have a physio function attached to them as part of their athlete training centers & gym.
