Hi Guys

Got a Nvidia 9500GT laying around, is it worth the effort installing it to run PhysX alongside my ATI card?

I've never tried, been wanting to though... If you got a few titles that use PhysX I'd say go for it.. Why not?

I'd do it if I had one lying around.

Isnt that "disable physx if competitor card is in the system" still active? Most likely you'll have to install some cracked or old drivers to get it working

I would say its only worth it if you have some of the latest titles that makes use of PhysX, games like Mafia 2, Bad Company 2, Batman Arkum Asylum are a few of the best physX games where you would see some nice visual increases, BUT

depending on your case and system layout, is PhysX really worth the added heat, power usage and blockage of air to the ATI card (assuming its in the first PCI-E and the 9500GT in the Second) and also afaik the 9500GT is not a powerful card, and there is a chance its not even strong enough for physx use as a dedicated card, all in all, i say nay - its not worth it

They do still have it, but afaik you have three choices, either use old drivers from before it was implemented, download very new Beta drivers [reccomended] where it is not present or go find some hacked drivers [not reccomended]

I would like to ask.. if a game says there is Physx, when you install it.. does it activate already? Or do you have to get a program that does it for you? (From Nvidia?)
