Pick n Pay CEO’s six months from hell

Must be hell having more than 3 tills open on a month end weekend.

Can’t be done.

Nothing exceptional there, basically modern day business operations and planning in South Africa, did I miss something unique they had to deal with, other than the 11 banks?
I'm not following?
I did not claim anything exceptional.

My point being that previously under Sean the company was doing well.
Now he's back, having to clean up the mess (of their own making), and he's 70 years old.

Yeah, not really seeing the six months of hell, or something that "no other company in SA's history has had to jump as many hurdles".

Just a person being brought in to rescue a company that a previous CEO had buttfscked royally with stupid decisions.

But thats not to say Sean didn't make fundamental missteps either, they probably only surfaced after he left.

He credited the endurance, loyalty, and courage of Pick n Pay employees for what they have achieved so far.

“Ordinary people achieving the extraordinary is our mantra at the end of the day,” Summers said.
