NEVER buy meat from supermarkets. Don't care if it is PnP, Spar, Woollies, or Checkers.

It is vrot or just plain kak.

However, poor leadership and a misguided strategy caused tremendous harm to the retailer, which used to outperform Shoprite.

Checkers used to be far worse than Pick 'n Pay, and I'd much rather shop at Checkers these days. Checkers have jacked up their quality and service a lot over the last decade or so.
