Pick n Pay is changing how Smart Shopper discounts work

Why not and I'm being serious here, big idea, why not just give the discounts on the items automatically without the need of a card?

And instead of Liking your facebook page, PnP just use the page to advertise said special?

The card tracks your purchases. Discounts are personalised according to those purchases.

This. Go to Pick n pay for milk, walk out with milk, and a slab that was R2 off because of smart shopper. Who won? Not you.
 
But they have been having personalised vouchers for about two years now, I used to get cash discount which but lately it's just been mostly double or triple smart shopper points in certain items that is bought
 
I don't even pay attention to what's on special when using the card, it's just too much hassle. If I happen to get a discount, yay me!

I just use my Tyme card as much as possible so that the week before payday I can buy a case of beer with my smartshopper points
