Pick n Pay technically insolvent

I also only shop at Woolies.

If not there i'll go to Checkers. I found PnP at least the Hypermarket near me and the smaller ones near me to have absolutely abysmal service. You wait forever to be helped at a counter for meat, or bread etc, they are a major major SASSA payout partner and yet when i take my parents to get their pension, their tills never have money. And I complain over and over - you know people are coming on this date, its payout day. There's a queue full of old people and you have 2 tills for them to use and no money in them I mean wtf kind of mickey mouse business is this?

Then, i've on a few rare occasions bought meat there if i was too lazy to go to Woolies and 50% of the time i had to take it back or throw it out cause it was rotten.

I've gladly bid farewell to PnP, Let Walmart come in.

Walmart has already been here, Game and Makro are owned by it
 
Can't say I am surprised. Service is poor and all of them smell bad. I avoid them altogether.
 
I for one will shop ant PnP more when they start getting more tills running.
 
This in some ways doesn't surprise me really... I haven't willingly gone into a PnP in years.

Its partly because the locations are all trash, but their selection of things is not great, the service is rubbish etc etc.
 
They all suck. Checkers keeps changing the location of products weekly at this point in time. No wonder things don't stay fresh and I have to run around and get my step count in to figure out where things are now. The whole entrance is blocked by 6060 scooters and all the isles blocked with paper bag fillers.
 
As others have said, I once shopped exclusively at PnP. Nowadays Checkers is just more convenient, cleaner, more helpful staff. Just a better experience.
 
Depends where we're all located, our Checkers stinks and our P&P is fair to good.
