Pick n Pay under siege

PnP you treated customers badly for years with your staff attitudes and now it's biting you back and now you moan.............sounds very much like the political situation in SA currently by taking no blame for your own neglect.
 
Used to love my local pick n pay' s 18 years ago when they where on the rise. Of late I prefer just about any other retailer. Specials are lame, often don't have stock. Stores look a bit grungy. The big hypermarket at Northgate is crazy. All that floor space and most days you will see no more than 2 of the 50 odd tills open. Not even sure how they remain profitable.

On the other hand we are now trying out the R100 per month system with checkers sixty sixty where all deliveries are free and I don't think we are going back! Way too convenient!

The staff representing PnP told me to buy elsewhere if we are not happy.

Does not seem to me PnP is struggling.

I call em pick n pray cos you better pray after eating one of their deli sandwiches.

Checkers keeps Ricotta under the Forage & Feast branding by the truck load.

R199 a month you mean.

Oh no you are right it's R99, but you effectively get R200 back from the R2000 limit on in-store 20% discount.

Also use it because the 20% discount in store means it easily pays for itself on the one large grocery shop a month.

Checkers sells it but it's so insanely simple to make why bother. You just need milk and lemon juice or vinegar.

And a pot.
 
Pick n Pay excels at having staff do the least possible. The Hyper near us never has enough tills open, and when you complain they have this "oh ok.. " attitude. I've been shopping elsewhere. I keep hoping it goes under and a Checkers Hyper or something else opens in its place.

That's why i love Woolworths lol. It's like it was made for Men. Buy, throw in microwave or air fryer.. eat.
