Pick n Pay warning amidst store closures

PnP

People n Problems

Their problem is their management and their staff. Their attitudes suck compared to other major retailers.

Birthday special.
There were probably 1000 people in the store, hence the need for 5 tills.
Aaah that makes sense, I still like frequenting PnP close to me, though it might be a little bit of nostalgia.

For me it's the dodgy meat and terrible range of meat products at that, combined with the badly laid out stores that are so tight to move inside that I'll go to the massive isles and sensible layouts of Checkers every time instead.

For me it was their rewards program.
Pink n Pay points used to be a big thing; like I remember with my mum it was all about how many points you had and could use Christmas time.
The they halved the points they gave per rand spent. Then they said the points expire after a year. And they had that ridiculous system of putting savings on your slip and to redeem you had to bring your old slip in.
Checkers - no points system, get your savings immediately.
Woolies, same.

And then I'm not sure how all these companies agree on loyalty programs but that's a big one.
FNB tomorrow replace Checkers with Pick n Pay as a points or earnings partner, every FNB customer in the land will be at their stores. No-one goes to a shop they like these days, they like the one their bank rewards them for going to.

Pick n Pay has a leadership problem. How difficult is it to get good layout of store, have better specials then Checkers and have trained staff.

This.

They did not even have R3000 cash that I needed while shopping there. I left my full trolley at the till and walked out.

Never went back there till then.
