I don't have a answer for you as yet. Will let you know asap.;)

Hi there, here is your answer.

Hi Piesang,

Basically the process amounts to an MSISDN swap.

So…when the customer ports across from VC , we can port the VC number across and do an MSISDN swap on his existing SIM.

So yes, he has the VM SIM already so, we just need to wait for him to tell us to port once MNP is in place and we will handle the rest.

how effective is VM 3g? in south africa?

They don't have 3G coverage as yet but I was assured they have very good trained technical staff that is working on that.

Also remember, they are using Cell-C's network. But then, Cell-C is using Vodacom's network. So I assume they will have excellent 3G coverage as soon as it is launched.

with my VM sim in a 3g phone I've been going into network settings and searching available networks,..

cell C Voda and mtn come up,...

i choose Voda, and i get 3g signal indicator,.. in same location as when on Voda sim,... Cool,..
Still says Virgin, but,.. 3g indication and pretty much the Only way i can get my VM sim to operate as a decent data connection,...

i never knew this was possible, but through frustration have tried this,.. i mean the amount of web pages that time out on you, not like Voda 3g whiplash,...

only tried it the other day,..

is this real,...?

Well here was a quick test,..

2.5g indicated,.. so no 3G,... Interesting non the less,..

will try witin solid 3G zone an post,...

VM straight,..
