In June 2017 I relocated to Pietermaritzburg, KZN. I applied for a Telkom ADSL line, 10Mbps, where I was 2.1lm from the Pelham Exchange. I got 9-10Mbps on a speed test.
In Feburary 2018, I moved with PMB to Scottsville and now I am 6.2km from the Main PMB Echange in Loop St because that is the cable route. However I am ONLY 4.5km from Pelham Exchange.
Now due to the 6.2km my 10Mbps line is a expensice 4-5Mbps line!
So with human reasoning, I decide to download grade to 4Mbps, cause that is what I am geting on the 10Mbps.
Bad move! Feels like it back to the 80's when Telex was working a 50bps!
What are the alternatives in Pietermartizburg for Internet Access.
Fibre seems to be lightyears away (no pun indeeded)! Telkom is in now RUSSSSSH!
Thanks
