Ping microsoft.com Timming out..

As the title says, when I ping microsoft.co.m it times out, I need to activate a windows installation and it can't connect, all other domains ping fine. I can also access the Microsoft website with FF but the ping times out.

MS don't allow you to ping them. This shouldnt effect the windows activation though.

When I try and activate it just get an error message saying that Microsoft cannot be reached. It usually just takes a few seconds to activate, but maybe I'll just have to do it over the phone.
