Any advice for treating pink eyes?

For the past few days suffering from it. Started with Tobrex drops, did not work, then Gemini, also did nothing. One eye is far worse than the other, so I do not think it is allergic conjunctivitis.

If it is for a few days - go see the doc, last thing you want to do is play around with suggestions and putting some nasty stuff in your eyes.

There's people who treat this kind of thing. Think they're called optometrists. Don't think they're the same as a natural healer and it's not a fad. I checked

If it doesn't get better by tomorrow I will see if I can find one to fit me in. I am not feeling like paying the doc another R350 + another R160 for eyedrops like Monday.

Although the last time I went to an optometrist, I had babbelas and was subscribed glasses, while there was nothing wrong with my vision.

At Dischem or Clicks there is stuff for pink eye relief called Similasan. They have a range of eye drops but one specifically for pink eye.

OK, so after going through the history, before my eyes got pink, it appears my (drunken, but enthusiastic) 69-ing last Saturday could have been the culprit.

You could see a doctor. Or try peeing into bottle and rubbing it on yr eyes.

I did see another doc, and got Efemoline drops, which looks like to be working. Hold thumbs.

Did you tell the second Dr you were prescribed tobramycin ?

For a simple pink eye I really think you going over board maybe you got conjuctivitis.

Also fluromethalone (the one in the state is called FML® lol) is a steroid so it will decrease the irritation very quickly. You couldve just bought allegex drops OTC or sodium cromoglycate (opitcrom). Though the steroids and antibiotics are the more efficient method.

I dislike patients using steroid based eye drops with out an opthalmologist behind the treatment plan, since they can actually damage your eye badly if incorrectly used. Dont put 10 tons in your eye follow the instructions properly, its a very sad thing when patients over do it for relief with steroid drops and then come back blind because they put 30 drops a day to ease the discomfort.

Yes, I took the tobramycin with.

Of the Efemoline I put in one drop per eye 3 times a day, and since yesterday, my eyes are fine.

I tried Allergex drops before going to the doc the first time, it did not work.
