Can someone please help me.
When the power goes, loadshedding, the alarm stays on battery backup. But when the power comes back. 2 PIR, in different rooms, triggers and after 30 seconds triggers the alarm. Anyone knows why and how to fix it.
SO one needs to be quick out of bed at night when the power comes back lol

PIRs are more susceptible to voltage drops than the actual alarm panel
Check the battery voltage with a meter towards the end of the load-shedding period
If you can, fit a larger one or a lithium-ion (drop in replacement)

What make and model of alarm panel is it? IDS panels are not 100% compatible with li-ion batteries

it is an IDS panel, dont have the model with me, not at home. But its 16 zones. I will check the voltage, but for sure will change battery. To me the strange is that its when power returns the PIR triggers.

Your battery is on its way out. Pointless testing now, wait until just before loadshedding ends, and test the voltage then. I agree with @chickenbeef - replace with LiFePO4.

Yes as to the above posts, the battery is on its last legs. A change to a new gel battery fixed that on my Texecom Alarm
