This is the reason why people are moving to bitcoin.

Paypal, Visa and your bank should just do their job and move money instead of trying to focus on policing people. Since when is it the business of banks to play policemen?

It's a very slippery slope when your bank starts to decide whether CloudDrive.com or FileStorage.co.za should be able to accept your money or not. It's none of their business.
We pay them to move our money.... not to decide which services are good or bad.

I download because the local content providers ARE ALL FOR THE MASTERCHEF ADDICTS/SPORTS ADDICTS and don't cater to my taste. And the music stores only stock music that is popular, i.e. no talent computer generated BS.

1. Calm down.
2. Read the article - nobody said YOU are profiting from it.
3. Don't try to coat your pirate habit with excuses of "no local content", there are loads. Just be honest here... everybody likes free stuff.
4. Even though an item a person pirates never goes "missing", it kinda is stealing when you take something and don't pay for it. c'mon now.

Seriously, get over yourself. we all pirate stuff every now and again but at least we don't run around screaming, trying to justify it. call a spade a spade.

If the creator of a product produced a product to generate income from the sale thereof and I took it without paying for it - ie. I obtained it in a way that did not carry the creator's approval - then I stole it. It is what it is. The person that acknowledges it for what it is and partakes in it will then hopefully be less inclined to want to punish others for their tresspasses.

Nope, only if you skip the official distribution channel, then you stole it (see netflix/hulu etc).
