I am looking for a way to divert all traffic from my planet adsl modem to a specific computer on my network and then use that as my gateway. I want to do this as I do not want to create virtual servers for every port that I need as there are just too many. I think I must use NAT but don't know how.

Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks :)

Just allow all ports thru and use the supplied blue cable to connect the router to the promisciuos side ethernet device on the gateway. Rather setup your NATting rules on the gateway/firewall/cacheing server.

Try smoothwall, its free and works beautifully.

Connect the rest of your LAN to the "GREEN" ethernet device.

Your IP table should look somthing like this:

Planet Router: External Internal
DHCP Assigned 192.168.0.1

Gateway: External Internal
192.168.0.100 10.10.10.1

LAN Settings:

IP Addresses: 10.10.10.2 - 254
Gateway: 10.10.10.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Network Address: 10.10.10.0
Broadcast address:10.10.10.254

I do not know what OS's you use, The last bit is for UNIX implemetations.

I don't know how to "allow all ports thru" ?

NO: There's a much easier option. Just enabled the DMZ, and enter the IP of your computer on the network where you want all the traffic to go. As easy as that.
