I have a Planet 4400 ADSL modem which I want to configure to route a web server through to the internet. When I browse to the IP supplied by telkom I only see the configuration page of my modem and not the web server on my network. Please help me with the correct settings to make it work.
Thanks

You'll need to enable port forwarding if the router supports it. Do a search on goggle. There are some great articles out there!

The planet router supports port forwarding. Once you have logged onto the router go to the Virtual Server tab.

Hi
Thank you for your reply to my problem.
I have tried to setup a virtual server but it did not work. I did the following.
I navigated to Advanced Setup -> NAT ->
Here I have 3 choices under NAT mode.
1 None 2 Many to One 3 Many to Many
I choose Many to One (Edit Virtual Server)
Here under “NAT - Edit Virtual Server(Port Mapping)”I entered 80 under Start Port No. and 80 under End Port No. The web server use 10.0.0.90 as IP adr

Any suggestions please.

Also make sure the router itself isnt using port 80 for its own interface. Another thing, how are u testing it? Because u cant use your wan ip if you are testing from within the network
