Bud I'm guessing the pricing/service is keeping you there... but on MWeb I have no issues.
You do get the frustration of being killed by guys with much lower latency, but I have no lag and generally enjoy the experience.

To the OP, when you get to grips with the gameplay, involving yourself in a MASSIVE assault is really something special. In an organised attack, you will se columns of tanks covered by a wave of airsupport and plenty infantry doing the rounds!!

All I'll say is Indar, The Crown ;)
 
I'm having quite a bit of fun with it,if Afrihost plays up with latency ( like once or twice a month for me ) I swap to my FNB acc and go nuts
There are quite a few "starter" guides with good tips and advice for new players,or prod me and we can hook up :P
 
Loving it, got it 3 days ago and I'm playing it everyday now.. I play on the Ceres server username GreyBushZA add me as a friend... I'm on the red team, not sure what their name is.

Seriously can't believe this game is free though.

My ISP is mweb and I don't have too many issues with latency.

Buying weapons etc is where they get their money. Terrans ftw

I won't lie I'm probably going to be dropping about R300 at the end of the month on gear... purely because I think they deserve to get some of my money for this game.
 
Play a while,trial the weapons and see which you'd need for your playstyle. I bought both the Hellfire and A2A rockets and replacement gun for Mosquito as i'm a frequent flier,lock-on rockets for Heavy class and a replacement gun sofar

Like I said,buying some replacement weapons costs either points you earned or real money,and there is the option to subscribe. But if you were to not pay a cent you'd definitely be able to play still

Yip, and even when buying, they run "bundle specials".... I managed to get a bundle with 2 guns for each (some share weapons) class for $20. Individually they would've cost $42.

What's nice about the game is that the weapon you start with isn't rubbish and you don't need to worry about competing against lvl 30+ characters as the improvements are noticible, but not to the point that you're always at a disadvantage.

Greybush is playing as the Terran Republic scum. If I recall they are the heavy hitters.
There's the New Congolmerate who is a mix of dmg and att speed
And the Vanu Sovereignty who everyone hates :) Nah they have really quick fire rate.

downloaded last night but not played it yet, how does the game play with our avarge latency do the peeps with lower latency have a huge advantage?
 
Right played planet side 2 last night until 3am :D and all I can say is what an epic game that is the battles feel so big and epic really good fun
