So a couple friends and I wanna plan something for December, but not sure what there is to do?

Staying inside borders of SA if possible.

Suggestions, anyone?

Stay at work. Its the quietest time of the year to be working. Take your holidays some other time when things are not so expensive and not so busy!

Balito.

It was epic back in 98. How much can things have changed :D

This. A holiday is supposed to be enjoyed. Take it when everyone is rat racing.

Agreed - don't come to Cape Town. And my preference is usually to do something in the last two weeks of January or even February.
Prices can drop at certain places and all roads are friendlier.

Exactly. I was charged R345 a night per person for a room in the Drakensberg during December. Booked the same room for March and it cost R250.

and our summer ends in april

so yeah end jan or mid feb is nice

Hey OP, you should definitely go to Cape Town. Best time of year. Sun. Beach. Lively nights around the city.

You absolutely must plan a trip down ;)

This.

Work is quite, no traffic to speak of and you pretty much do what you like.

Thanks guys. Keep them coming.

No one suggesting game ranges and the like?

Uhm there was a okay game range called dikhololo (lol) just outside suncity was a nice place, but I went there as a student so not sure if the accomodation will be up to your standard as a working class individual.

Another interesting place I went to (again as a student) was a place by badplaas, even had a water theme park type thing not sure what the resort name is though

Finally there is a very nice game reserve by ladysmith, Lions valley lodge

anyways what are your intentions with this holiday? just go mad ? want a quiet isolated place or you want to something like the hangover :P?
