Plans are underway to have the president removed from office following the municipal elections in August, according to a report in the Sunday Times.

Citing a senior leader at Luthuli House, the paper said that the plan includes easing off on public calls for Zuma to resign until after the elections, amid concerns that votes may be lost in areas where the president remains popular.

Seemingly for the ANC cadres to STFU, and hope the dumblings ..... or as Julaas calls them, voting cattle .... place an X in the box for this shyster.

ANC's plan is great for the public. Local election campaign got off on a terrible start in Nelson Mandela Bay. Poor turnout. They should keep Zuma around till the elections.

Sadly, I agree with this. Doesn't seem to be the African way to want to fix problems openly and right away

As the article says that would lead to loss of votes from pro-Zuma regions. His stronghold KZN is the biggest ANC region.

Yep. That stand to lose more by getting rid of him before the elections than keeping him till after.
