Who else is excited for this fight?
I havent always been the biggest Canelo fan but he is damn talented and this weight division suits him (I thought it would slow him down and take away his movement, but if anything he seems sharper)

I actually like Plant but dont give him much of a chance against Canelo. I think we will see Canelo in his prime taking apart Plant with the fight ending somewhere in the 8th or 9th. Dont really support either one over the other so will be a fight where I get to just enjoy the boxing and display!

Can't wait but Canelo will destroy Plant.
He's top of my pound for pound list.

Yeah I think we have had this discussion before.
I was not a Canelo fan for a while, but his progression has been solid for me. Since losing to Mayweather he has gotten better each fight.
I dont think Plant is going to be a test for him and that either says something about the quality in the division or the quality of him. If he wins he is going to struggle to find a decent challenger and I doubt he will be able to make another weight jump again.

Andrade would need to move up or maybe Bivol and Canelo can agree on a weight.

I dont think anyone can say he is not good. How good depends and also how this is measured
He is likely to become undisputed this weekend and I dont think there are many opponents left at the weight class.

The closest he has come to losing recently was the first GGG fight where I think he might have actually lost. But like when he lost to Mayweather, he learnt quickly from it and the next GGG fight he was superior in every way.

I believe he has some very good boxing left in him and just needs the opponent quality to showcase his skills.
For me he is in the top 5 pound for pounds at the moment.

Over hyped in my opinion. Yes with out a doubt he is good.
BUT there are many devils in the details of his resume.
That makes me doubt how good he really is. Makes me ask, "if this guy is really THAT good, why all these shenanigans."
But hey, dont get me started on the sport of boxing and all its bullsh*t.

Plant has pretty fast hands and decent movement, defensive skills were quite solid as well but he was never going to win the fight like that.
Canelos slow starts are going to catch up with him at some stage I think but he was patient, efficient and took his opportunity. Reckon if he had listened to his corner more and utilized the upper cut it would have been sooner but he really wanted that left hook :)
 
Plant way out of his depth in this fight. Totally outclassed by a brilliant fighter. He only lasted 11 because he kept running and turning his back on Canelo.

He said pre-fight he was going to drag Plant late and then knock him out. He acknowledged Plant was going to start fast, so he was prepared to weather the inevitable early storm.
 
Saw parts of the fight while watching the UFC... UFC was way more entertaining based on what i saw.

Will probably watch it on catch up at some point to see what exactly happened or didnt happen

Congrats to canelo. Best contractor in boxing atm.
