Not limited to just Fromsoft titles. Personally I'm fine with it but the implementation needs a bit of work. For example killing an invader should render some useful reward or at least something that would make you say aah yes instead of ok, meh.

Furthermore, looking at souls/elden ring, a better idea if the IPM (invasions per minute) have some sort of cool down for the host. Once per rest? or every 30 minutes? Reason is quite simple that you actually loose focus as a player on what you are doing and instead focused on looking over your should while trying to "get through stranglethorn vale".

Of course the same for the invader, perhaps they also should enjoy a greater reward other than runarcs?

Now the question(s)
  • Do you enjoy being invaded
  • Do you enjoy invading
  • Do you think the mechanic need some work/changes
  • Should there be three options instead of "invasions on/off"?
  • (and of course) What other games could be great with this mechanic?
  • Other (lets talk)

I personally do not mind an invasion, its part of the game, but the issue I have is that 90% of the time the invader is so OP and usually deals some sort of damage effect , bleed etc. This is applicable early in the game however, once mid-end game, the invasion is more than welcome because chances are you now stand a better chance at wrecking the invader

I don't do any online gaming. Give me a single player experience at my own pace so having an invader is definitely not my idea of fun

The latest Sniper Elite seems to have this feature, and everyone I've seen is saying it's quite fun.

Personally I think it's a great feature, but should always have an opt out option for those who prefer not.
