Playing on International servers

What internet connection speed do I need to play games on International servers? I am up at 3 or 4 in the morning and not many people play then,which is expected coz of work and school.

I am on a 384kbs connection and pings range from 300 up to 600 internationally.

Unshaped is a must.

Get one of the IS fibre accounts from www.openweb.co.za. (Semi shaped).

In Crysis I get anything from 200 onwards.

does the connection speed make a difference ie 4mb vs 384 kbs for example?

Not really, latencies are more important. Only if you need to download something from the server, obviously.
