Playing PS2 games on 23" LCD

Hey there guys,

I just wanna know if any of you have played PS2 games on a backward compatible PS3 hooked up to

a 23 inch LCD monitor... if you have, how does it look?

If you haven't can you predict how it'll look?

Considering they put the RSX engine into the BC console, it won't be bad at all :).

I played some pSOne games recently on my PS3 and it didn't look bad at all on a 42inch :p.

Is this a trick question lol ...

seriously?... I was just thinking about how terrible my ps2 games (using a ps2) looked on a 32 inch HD Ready screen, so much so I stopped playing playstation.

There are a couple of old PS2 games I'd like to play and I was just wondering
 
I unfort don't have a BC console and only the "dongle" will allow this feature. But was fun playing Smackdown 2. Fair enough it was blocky but PS2 is a generation up so less blocky :p

There videos up aswell on YT showing exactly what you want to see aswell :).

Let us know your experience.

Edit: are you using latest OFW, PM if you want to test dosbox games ;-) if you got CFW...

I sold all my ps2 games but right now I'm contemplating buying this game I suddenly found a craving to play.

Also the ps3 I have can't play ps2 games (it also isn't actually mine... belongs to the house... everyone) but I found this guy wanting to sell his (it plays ps2 games) and I'm thinking of buying it.

Another reason for getting the PS3 is to play games that I don't feel comfortable playing in the lounge (eg. god of war).
 
What game is it that you craving to play? God Of War? How much you getting the console for?

If you made up your mind, atleast give it a test run to see if it conforms to your liking :).
 
Dont expect it to be up scalled like a emulator would on PC, My PS3 60GB makes the games look pretty ****ty up scalling it from a 480I to a 720P signal

for example MGS 3's menus look all buggy with some of the wording missing which kinda disappointed me at first but I'll guess you'll get used to it.

damnit that sucks

I'd play on an emulator but so much goes wrong... settings need to be changed and that all just defeats the point of gaming on a console for me.

It's an older final fantasy and the deal is 1.5K for the console and 1 control.

I can't exactly take it back if I don't like it.
